Monoprints

Ecch of these prints are unique, mono printed using screen printing as a tool. The layers and colours are built up by painting directly onto the screen. My aim is to help preserve these iconic images from the Indian film industry which over the last 50 years have disappeared. To reintroduce them to a new younger audience in a contemporary way and in doing so save them from disappearing. There is a new movement over the last 20 years in India about preserving Bollywood memorabilia and I hope that in a small part I can contribute.
